This antique hollowing plane was made by the New Bedford Company, "J.H. Lamb". It was made of dense wood and has a medium stain. Engraved on one side is the company's name and on the other is the number, "12". The bottom of the plane has some minute pits in the wood, but nevertheless is in good condition. The blade is sharp and will make a rounded groove 7/8” wide.
